「大人の科学マガジン別冊 シンセサイザー・クロニクル」 “Adult Science Magazine Special: Synthesiser Chronicle” magazine with Gakken SX-150 Synthesiser

The Gakken SX-150 Analog Synthesiser came packaged with 「大人の科学マガジン別冊 シンセサイザー・クロニクル」 “Adult Science Magazine Special: Synthesiser Chronicle” magazine, published 30th July 2008.

The Japanese ‘Adult Science Magazine’ series has featured scientific learning content since 2003 and this ‘Synthesiser Chronicle’ special edition explains how audio synthesis works with the accompanying Gakken SX-150 synthesiser for the reader to truly get to grips with concepts.

The synthesiser comes packaged as components – the circuit board, the knobs and switches, the front panel – which are easily assembled into the completed machine.

The magazine features a walkthrough and lecture on how soundwaves are created and manipulated to produce the ‘synth’ sounds we are familiar with. The magazine also has numerous interviews with well known electronic musicians who demonstrate how they can use the synth in their own unique way.
